Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As an LPN, you will provide exceptional care to patients and their families, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

About the Role

This full-time position is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. You will work closely with RNs and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients from birth to 21 years old, as well as selected adult patients.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide technical nursing care to patients under the direction of a RN Care Manager, in accordance with Ohio Board of Nursing Law and Rule.
  • Nursing Interventions: Implement nursing interventions according to established standards, demonstrating competence in specified nursing care.
  • Medication Administration: Administer and document medications by all routes, utilizing the five rights and all other related safety recommendations.
  • Clinical Decision Making: Demonstrate sound clinical decision making and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Communication: Communicate and document patient response to care, providing input into revision of plan and care based on data collected and identified patient/family needs.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A graduate degree from an approved school of practical or vocational nursing.
  • Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Ohio.
  • Completion of an Ohio Board of Nursing-approved medication test.
  • Satisfactory completion of orientation objectives.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement savings options.
