Sales Distribution Manager

Job Summary
This role is responsible for driving sales growth and maximizing profit levels within an assigned territory and at assigned distributors. The successful candidate will be a capable motivator and communicator, able to sell and present ideas to TT Management and all levels at distributors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new business opportunities through distribution sales channels
- Obtain purchase orders from distributors and ensure proper handling of orders
- Coordinate contacts between factory and customer, as needed
- Make face-to-face sales calls at distributor corporate offices and branch offices
- Acquire a comprehensive knowledge of all customer personnel, vendor policies, and products
- Maintain close awareness of trends and industry needs for long-range planning
- Improve knowledge of TT products and related applications
- Respond to management requirements and directives in a timely manner
- Responsible for recommending and achieving forecasts, budgets, and financial goals
- Direct distributors toward meeting financial plan goals and constant sales growth
- Support product line forecasts
- Coordinate distributors' advertising campaigns
- Review distributor performance and initiate corrective actions as needed
- Monitor POS and inventory levels, and advise business and distributors on any risk or opportunities
- Ensure a high level of competitive intelligence
- Evaluate and recommend training for distributors' sales personnel
- Handle day-to-day inquiries of a technical nature
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:
- Intercompany: Must be a capable motivator and communicator
- Customer-facing: Excellent verbal skills required to communicate instructions and present ideas to all levels at distributors
- Good motivator
- Able to handle and solve problems
- Excellent knowledge of distribution business practice
- Minimum of 5 years in distribution or distribution management for a manufacturer
- Technical understanding
- Proven sales track record
