Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Rheumatology Department at Danbury Hospital. As a LPN, you will be responsible for assisting physicians and physician assistants with patient exams, collecting medical data, and providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare materials and supplies for patient exams.
  • Collect and analyze patient specimens as directed by physicians or physician assistants.
  • Provide direct patient care, including vaccinations, wound care, and medication administration.
  • Instruct patients and families on preventive care and medication management.
  • Contact patients by phone to provide follow-up information and test results.
Requirements
  • BLS certification within 30 days of starting.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
  • Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
  • Computer skills/data entry.
  • Skilled in obtaining accurate patient vitals.
Working Conditions

The working conditions for this role include:

  • Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force.
  • Generally pleasant working conditions.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $24.15 - 41.32 hourly based on experience. We also offer benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings plan.
