Job Summary

This Medical Office LPN position involves providing direct patient care, preparing patients for medical exams, collecting vital signs, administering medications, and instructing patients on preventive care and treatment plans. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares patients for medical exams, including obtaining vital signs and medical history.
  • Provides direct patient care, such as ear irrigation, vaccinations, and wound care.
  • Collects and prepares patient specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Instructs patients and families on preventive care, medication management, and test preparation.
  • Contact patients by phone to provide follow-up information and relay physician instructions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent experience.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in the state of Connecticut.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Computer skills and data entry experience.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
