About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Office LPN to join our team at Nuvance Health Med Practice CT.

Job Summary

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced LPN to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our endocrinology department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare materials, supplies, equipment, and patients to assist physicians or APRNs with medical exams.
  • Obtain patients' history and basic medical data, including vital signs, medications, allergies, height, and weight.
  • Provide direct patient care, such as injections of endocrine-specific medications.
  • Collect, prepare, and analyze patient specimens as directed by physicians or APRNs.
  • Instruct patients and families on preventive care, medication use, test preparation, treatment progress monitoring, and symptom tracking.
  • Contact patients by phone to provide follow-up information, share test results, or relay physician instructions, and document appropriately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Perform organizational responsibilities to achieve practice and WCMG missions through quality improvement processes.
Requirements:
  • BLS certification within 30 days of starting.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
  • Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
  • Computer skills and data entry abilities.
  • Skilled in obtaining accurate patient vitals.
  • Vaccine administration and medication preparation expertise.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year of experience.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages.
  • Phlebotomy and EKG skills.
Working Conditions

This role involves some manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. There may be occupational risks, physical exertion, and exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated hourly salary range for this position is $24.15 - $41.32 per hour, depending on location and experience. We offer competitive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off.
