Your Impact: The Surgical Technologist works in close collaboration with surgeons, nursing staff, anesthesiologists, and other surgical personnel. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and efficacy of surgical operations by maintaining a sterile environment and providing critical support to the surgical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and verify supplies and equipment necessary for surgical procedures; notify the nurse manager when consumables are needed.
  • Prepare the surgical area, including tables and stands, with the required instruments, supplies, medications, and solutions for each operation.
  • Conduct accurate counts with the circulator prior to the procedure and before closing incisions.
  • Perform thorough preparation of surgical sites and establish a sterile field.
  • Uphold the highest standards of sterile technique during procedures, assist the surgeon by providing instruments, and prepare sterile dressings.
  • Prepare instruments for sterilization and conduct weekly cleaning of the operating room.
  • Assist with patient check-in, scheduling surgeries, post-operative follow-ups, phone triage, room preparation, and patient transfers.
  • Prepare sterile trays for embryo transfers and support patients during oocyte retrieval and embryo transfer procedures.
  • Ensure sterilization of surgical instruments and adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Surgical Technologist certification from an accredited program is required.
  • BLS certification is necessary.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in an operating room setting is required.

Compensation: The salary range reflects the national average for this position. The offered base salary will vary based on location, experience, skills, and knowledge. The total compensation package may include bonuses, flexible work arrangements, and other region-specific benefits.
