About the Role

HonorHealth is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic MRI procedures under the direction of a radiologist, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
  • Assume responsibility for tasks or procedures as assigned, including data entry operations using hospital software packages.
  • Provide coverage at various locations within the network, as required.
  • Review patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, imaging site, and MRI eligibility.
  • Protocol procedures with radiologists as needed, and transport patients to and from the exam room using safe patient handling techniques and equipment.
  • Perform MRI procedures, observe patients during procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Administer contrast materials as required, and initiate emergency responses to contrast reactions as needed.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality assurance factors, including image laterality marking and annotation, as required by MRI procedure protocols.
  • Utilize RIS, PACS, and other image management systems as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating daily workflow for department activities, maintain equipment in efficient operating order, and perform quality control testing.
  • Participate in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff, as needed, and maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 6 months of MR experience via employment or training required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, with one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Magnetic Resonance (ARRT-MR), American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT), or U.S. military Radiology General Procedures training program required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
