Job Summary:

\

As an Occupational Therapist at the Brattleboro Retreat, you will play a vital role in facilitating the development and rehabilitation of patients with mental, emotional, and physical disabilities. You will plan and administer skilled occupational therapy to help our patients achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans\
  • Administer occupational therapy interventions to promote patient independence and functional ability\
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals\
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments\
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth\

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program\
  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapist (NBCOT) and certification in Vermont or eligibility for licensure\
  • 3-5 years of experience in behavioral health or working with specific age groups; qualified entry-level practitioners also encouraged to apply\
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations\
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on patient-centered care\
