Job Title: Diesel Technician Master Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician Master Mechanic to join our team at Ryder in Morrisville, North Carolina. As a key member of our Truck Fleet team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on our fleet of vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
  • Advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs, diesel after treatment or automotive fuel injection repairs
  • Utilize diagnostic computers/software when applicable
  • Interact with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task
  • Instruct and advise other technicians regarding maintenance repair procedures and diagnostics
  • Coach/Mentor other level technicians
  • Advise shop management and other technicians on shop repairs
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
  • Basic tools, required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Four (4) years or more Relevant work experience, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
  • All other certification as required by location, required
