Job Title: Senior Diesel Mechanic

Ryder is seeking a highly skilled Senior Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Morrisville, NC. As a Senior Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, as well as providing technical guidance and support to junior technicians.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and diagnostic testing
  • Conduct complex repairs, including major engine repairs, diesel after treatment, and automotive fuel injection repairs
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians
  • Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints and provide solutions
  • Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Four (4) years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
  • All other certification as required by location
