Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician Master Mechanic to join our team in Morrisville, North Carolina. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on our fleet of trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
  • Advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs, diesel after treatment, and automotive fuel injection repairs
  • Utilize diagnostic computers and software to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
  • Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints and provide solutions
  • Coach and mentor other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Four years or more of relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
