Job Title: Senior Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Ryder in Morrisville, North Carolina. As a Senior Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, as well as providing technical guidance and support to other technicians.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal support
  • Perform remote triage to assist with roadside breakdowns
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other technicians
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of diesel engines
  • Four years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
