Join Our Team as a Floor Manager
At Santi, we are seeking dedicated floor managers to enhance our exceptional dining experience. Under the leadership of Michael White, a celebrated chef known for his contributions to the modern Italian culinary scene, Santi offers a unique exploration of seasonal Italian cuisine. Our restaurant, located in a prime area, is designed to reflect White's extensive culinary journey through Italy and the South of France.
Role Overview
The Floor Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our service standards are upheld, providing guests with an outstanding dining experience. This position involves close collaboration with the Assistant General Manager and General Manager to oversee daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside the management and front-of-house teams to enhance service operations and ensure they meet our high standards.
- Manage daily floor activities, including guest flow, table assignments, and service timing to maximize efficiency and satisfaction.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring resolutions that meet their expectations.
- Train and develop front-of-house staff, fostering a knowledgeable and motivated team committed to excellence.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new front-of-house personnel.
- Facilitate effective communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams, especially during peak service times.
- Oversee the opening and closing procedures of the restaurant.

Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range of $70,000 - $75,000.

Position Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in a fine dining establishment in a managerial capacity.
- Preferred qualifications include a Restaurant Management Certification or a degree in a related field.
- Proven experience in operations management and team development.
- Proficiency in various technology systems, including Microsoft Office and POS platforms.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Possession of a NYC Food Protection Certificate.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Physical Demands
- Flexibility to adapt to job demands and complete tasks as needed.
- Ability to operate necessary restaurant equipment.
- Capacity to handle stress in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work varied hours as business needs dictate.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8-10 hours daily.
