Job Summary:

Brown & Brown Insurance of Florida is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Client Account Manager for Condo Commercial Insurance Lines. As a key member of our Commercial Lines team, you will be responsible for handling a client portfolio and working closely with producers, sales professionals, and teammates to service new and existing clients, maintain positive client relationships, and provide high-quality service to assigned accounts with a focus on the profitability of the business to the agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide renewal direction, training, and support to team members on assigned accounts for renewal marketing within Commercial Lines.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current markets and strive to place business with lead carrier partners and those with the best policy forms.
  • Monitor workflows, consistency with processes and procedures, and provide training for Commercial Lines team members.
  • Recommend and implement procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness for the Commercial Lines department.
  • Prepare and process binders of insurance, policies, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, and cancellations in accordance with office procedures.
  • Review coverages placed for accuracy and risk exposure suitability.
  • Validate internal and external rating of policies, confirm endorsements, audits, cancellation, and related documents.
  • Review commercial applications, renewal requests, and endorsements for adherence to underwriting authority and guidelines as established by the various companies.
  • Transmit policies, endorsements, audits, cancellations, etc. in writing using the Quality Control guidelines as adopted by the Commercial Lines team.
  • Oversee and/or process all transactions on policies as assigned from effective date to expiration date.
  • Maintain suspense system for all transactions for assigned accounts.
  • Invoice items on assigned accounts in a timely basis.
  • Prepare and process premium finance agreements as needed.
  • Advise accounting department of the appropriate posting of monies received on assigned accounts when necessary.
  • Review and correct invoicing discrepancies on a timely basis as needed.
  • Train team members on invoicing guidelines and process.
  • Review and maintain expiration records on assigned accounts.
  • Prepare draft proposals for completion and review completed proposals prepared by the Marketing Assistant.

Requirements:

  • Florida 4-40 License is a minimum requirement with the ability to obtain Florida 2-20 P&C License promptly.
  • 2+ years' experience as an account manager specializing in commercial insurance.
  • Strong technical knowledge of coverage in all commercial lines insurance policy forms, rating, and exposure analysis.
  • Superior computer skills and full command of Microsoft Office products and electronic document management solutions (paperless office).
  • AMS360 experience is highly preferred.
