Overview of the Role

As an integral part of our team, you will engage actively with agents to provide exceptional service while managing inquiries and concerns efficiently. The Underwriting Assistant position involves processing new business applications, assessing eligibility, and overseeing policy adjustments for both new and existing accounts. This role allows for meaningful interactions with agents, ensuring their satisfaction while showcasing our extensive range of products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively address inquiries related to various products and services.
  • Deliver timely and professional responses to communications from agents and customers.
  • Effectively manage time to meet departmental service level goals, enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
  • Process endorsements and policy modifications across all states, focusing on HO-4 programs to demonstrate expertise.
  • Facilitate smooth payment processing for both new and existing accounts.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly resolving issues to meet the satisfaction of agents and insured parties.
  • Maintain accurate records of communications and policy transactions.
  • Utilize experience and judgment to make informed decisions.
  • Consistently meet daily targets to contribute to team success.
  • Ensure punctual attendance to support seamless operations.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to aid departmental objectives.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong understanding of UPCIC manuals, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Proven history of outstanding evaluations.
  • Excellent attendance record, reflecting commitment to the role.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, typing, and computing.
  • Creative and flexible approach to tasks, demonstrating innovation and adaptability.
  • Recognize the significance of exceptional customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive relationships.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Florida Insurance Licensure: 20-44 or 2-20.
