Job Overview

Position Summary: As a Construction Inspector at Expedient Staffing Solutions, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects. Your expertise will be vital in monitoring compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and oversee field testing to ensure project adherence to plans.
  • Assist in managing construction change orders and compile detailed weekly and monthly reports.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including reports, narratives, quantities, logs, and time/material tickets.
  • Participate in progress meetings and effectively distribute meeting minutes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and permits while coordinating with adjacent projects.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with safety protocols and project specifications.
  • Coordinate utility shutdowns and strive to minimize disruptions to the public.
  • Collaborate with project owners to prepare punch lists upon project completion.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is preferred.
  • A New York State Professional Engineering license is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction inspection is required.
  • OSHA 30-hour safety course certification is preferred or the ability to obtain it.
  • Experience with both high and low voltage systems is essential.

Transportation to the site will be provided.
