The Senior Construction Project Leader will oversee construction activities related to significant infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to contractors to support capital construction initiatives.
  • Collaborate with contractors to ensure project execution adheres to established scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Assess and implement construction engineering methodologies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and draft potential change orders as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with Site-Specific Safety Work Plans.
  • Coordinate outages and track schedules effectively.
  • Conduct site evaluations to determine project feasibility.
  • Monitor production metrics and report findings.
  • Facilitate the completion of construction tasks.
  • Provide regular project updates to management.
  • Develop and revise technical work procedures as needed.
  • Analyze project challenges and propose viable solutions.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Participate in progress meetings and communicate project status updates.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to acquire knowledge of construction regulations and safety standards.
  • Proven capability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Construction Management (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience in construction within a railroad context.
  • 6-9 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Familiarity with New York ET systems.
Work Environment
  • This is a field-based role with varying environmental conditions.
  • Responsibilities include conducting field inspections and assessments.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills are essential for this position.

Compensation Overview

The salary range for this role is between $94,300 and $122,256, determined by factors such as education, experience, and certifications. Additional incentive programs and a comprehensive benefits package are available, including health, dental, and vision insurance; a 401K retirement plan; life and disability coverage; paid time off; and more.
