Transplant Support Coordinator Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized professional to join our Kidney/Pancreas Transplant team at Sentara Healthcare. This is a full-time, day shift position that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduling, registration, insurance verification, charging, medical records preparation, and receptionist functions in an accurate manner to assure timely delivery of patient services in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Requires strong knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to navigate electronic health records (EHRs).
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required;
  • 2 years of scheduling experience preferred;
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer software;
