Cosmetic Sales Counter Supervisor

Position Overview: The Cosmetic Sales Counter Supervisor is accountable for ensuring the effective implementation of Belk's strategic initiatives within the retail environment. This role is pivotal in achieving and surpassing sales objectives set by Belk and the associated vendor through effective coaching and relationship building with team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development: Responsible for analyzing sales data and proposing actionable strategies to enhance performance.
- Guide associates in achieving personal sales targets aligned with counter performance metrics.
- Recruit and retain high-quality staff, ensuring open positions are filled promptly.
- Enhance the skills of existing team members and recommend promotions when appropriate.
- Ensure optimal scheduling to meet business demands and maximize productivity.
- Utilize promotional calendars to drive sales and associate performance.
- Communicate effectively with the sales team, fostering a supportive environment.
- Conduct regular team meetings to prepare for key events and product launches.
- Manage inventory needs and communicate them to store management.
Sales Responsibilities:
- Achieve personal sales per hour goals and serve as a role model for exemplary customer service.
- Execute promotions and special events effectively to drive customer engagement.
- Develop customer relationships through personalized service and clienteling.
- Collaborate with management to optimize business opportunities.
- Identify and mitigate shrinkage within the department.
Customer Service Responsibilities:
- Exceed sales per hour and credit application targets.
- Provide personalized customer service, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
- Maintain accurate transaction processing and protect customer information.
- Build a robust clientele through exceptional service.
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain store presentation and hygiene standards.
- Timely unpacking and organization of merchandise deliveries.
- Prepare promotional setups and signage efficiently.
- Adhere to operational procedures for inventory management.
- Uphold professional appearance and compliance with dress standards.
- Support team members and management during peak periods.
- Foster open communication with management and vendor representatives.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of retail experience with a minimum of 1-3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in using retail technology and systems.
- Physical ability to meet job demands, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
This position reports to the Sales Team Manager or Store Manager and supervises Beauty Advisors.
