This role will report directly to the Applications Engineering Supervisor.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulates equipment specifications and performance criteria for Demand Controlled Kitchen Ventilation (DCKV) systems.
  • Assesses commercial kitchen apparatus and mechanical systems to confirm compatibility with Intelli-Hood DCKV Systems.
  • Designs DCKV systems, including the creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and CAD schematics, based on site survey data and architectural plans.
  • Offers technical guidance and support to the sales team to effectively communicate product offerings and services tailored to client requirements, utilizing programming expertise to customize job applications.
  • Prepares operational guidelines and programming for DCKV systems.
  • Supervises the installation of mechanical devices and sensors to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Evaluates alternative techniques and methods, recommending modifications to equipment or procedures as necessary.
  • Analyzes performance metrics to ensure equipment meets industry standards.
  • Establishes operational and maintenance protocols to guarantee efficient equipment functionality.
  • Provides technical assistance to clients, contractors, and the Melink National Network.
  • Handles part order requests from customers needing replacements for existing systems.
  • Coordinates troubleshooting efforts and arranges for technician support on-site when required.
  • Shares technical knowledge and training with other departments.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 3-4 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of engineering and programming, including electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming.
  • Proficient in industrial design software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite or similar applications.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and renewable energy sectors is advantageous.
