Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Program Director to lead our clinical-stage program teams in the development of our Immunocore portfolio. The successful candidate will partner with our Program Lead to drive cross-functional alignment and delivery of assigned programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive cross-functional, clinical-stage program teams in the development of the Immunocore portfolio.
  • Partner with Program Lead to drive cross-functional alignment and delivery of assigned programs.
  • Provide program management leadership by contributing to project strategy & vision.
  • Lead teams in the creation of comprehensive development plans.
  • Partner with all functional areas to build integrated program strategy and timelines.
  • Establish short and long-term goals and proactively identify issues and/or risks.
  • Coach project teams towards successful issue resolution and decision making.
  • Monitor deliverables and communicate program status to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings and define action items.
  • Develop impactful presentations summarizing complex topics for strategic planning.
  • Ensure stakeholders are knowledgeable of program milestones and plans.
  • Lead the team through problem solving and decision discussions.
  • Uphold good program management best practices and principles.
  • Provide guidance regarding standards/templates to Program Lead and project team.
  • Ensure team deliverables, budgets, schedules, and performance standards are met.
  • Champion company program management methodologies and practices.
  • Assist in process improvements and other initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of R&D drug development processes.
  • Proficiency with MS Project and project management tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional relationship building skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Delivery-focused mindset with a strong track record in a relevant scientific discipline.
Education & Qualifications
  • BS/BA level or higher in life science discipline or equivalent.
  • Desirable: Masters/PhD/PharmD/MBA in related discipline.
  • Desirable: Formal project management training.
  • PMP certification preferred but not required.
