Blender (Automated) - Plastic Piping Systems Expert

We are seeking an experienced Blender (Automated) to join our team at IPEX Group of Companies. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating automated mixers, pelletizers, and related equipment to prepare plastic pipe and fittings raw materials.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Automated Equipment: Utilize HMI screens to blend materials in compliance with work instructions, ensuring maximum safety, product quality, and production output.
- Convey Materials: Run pneumatic material conveying systems to transfer powdered materials from railcars to silos and within the blending department, adhering to defined work instructions.
- Transfer Liquids: Operate liquid transfer systems from tanker trucks to storage vessels, demonstrating knowledge of process control equipment used to operate blending equipment.
- Pelletizing and Extrusion: Understand and operate extruder and pelletizing equipment to pelletize compounds in compliance with work instructions, WMH8.
- Material Handling: Manually handle and add resins and micro-ingredients in specified volumes, ensuring all operating parameters are adhered to and in compliance.
- Quality Control: Notify supervisors and leads of any non-conformances or unknown conditions, assisting in corrective actions as needed.
- 18 years of age.
- A high school degree or equivalent, with the ability to read, write, and perform basic math. Knowledge of imperial and metric measurement systems is required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred; plastics experience is an asset.
- Comfortable using hand tools.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-starter with good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, coupled with an eagerness to learn.
- Understanding of all procedures and instructions as required by ANSI/ASQC A9002 is highly preferred.
- Must have experience operating forklift trucks, pallet trucks, and other material handling equipment, and be able to use basic hand tools. Forklift license preferred.
- Ability to work 12-hour continental shifts (4 days on, 4 days off); 84 hours bi-weekly; 7:00 – 7:00.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and physical.
- Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, and heavy lifting up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
- Fast-paced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required.
- Must be able to wear a fitted respirator.
