The role of the Managing Director at Pronghorn is designed for a dynamic leader who possesses a robust executive presence and has a history of steering accelerators, venture funds, or thriving startups. This individual should have a strong commercial focus and a demonstrated capability to convey the Pronghorn narrative effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultural Architect: Drive an entrepreneurial spirit within the organization, promoting creativity and challenging conventional practices.
- Strategic Visionary: Spearhead the strategic planning initiatives across all business facets, refining market strategies to identify opportunities for growth over the next decade.
- Entrepreneurial Development: Establish and nurture a diverse network of founders and innovators to enhance industry competitiveness and innovation.
- Financial Stewardship: Manage over $100 million in assets, ensuring optimal allocation and investment for maximum returns.
- Human Capital Strategy: Develop and implement a talent management strategy to align the right individuals with key roles, supporting both immediate and long-term objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree is mandatory; an MBA is preferred.
- Transformational Leadership: Proven experience in leading change and innovation to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving market.
- Financial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage P&L and budgets to enhance financial and operational performance.
- Effective Communicator: Experience in representing the organization and engaging with stakeholders through compelling storytelling.
- People Development: A history of attracting, mentoring, and promoting talent within the organization.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Proven experience in connecting with and influencing a wide range of stakeholders, including high-net-worth individuals and corporate executives.
