Position Overview: The Area Operations Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of Urgent Care centers within a specified geographic area. This role aims to translate organizational goals into actionable strategies that enhance operational efficiency. The manager will guide and support Practice Managers in the region while establishing key performance indicators to ensure the success and accountability of the Urgent Care centers.

- Aptitude for contributing to business decisions impacting multiple Urgent Care centers.
- Strong capability to manage various priorities effectively.
- Ability to lead and direct a small group of leaders.
- Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Enjoy problem-solving and proposing effective solutions.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Collaborate effectively with others and demonstrate a commitment to teamwork.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field is preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Experience in a managerial capacity, such as Regional Lead or Practice Manager.
- A clinical background as a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic, or Radiologic Technologist is preferred.
- The Area Operations Manager leads all Practice Managers and oversees the daily operations of the Urgent Care centers in the assigned area, supervising all clinical (non-provider) staff.
- This position operates in a medical office setting, with potential exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, medical preparations, and other typical clinic conditions.
- Requires a full range of motion, including manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges. Must be able to work under stress or irregular hours and may be exposed to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
- This is a full-time, salary-exempt position, with an expectation of a minimum of 40 hours per week, requiring presence in multiple Urgent Care centers as business needs dictate.
- Travel within the designated area is expected for this role, which may include responsibilities at other CareWell and/or ClearChoiceMD centers for leadership assignments, training, support, and meetings.
