At The Salvation Army, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Leave Specialist to join our Human Resources team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with various health-related laws, including the Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Workers Compensation.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer leave policies and procedures, ensuring timely and accurate processing of leave requests.
- Provide expert guidance on leave administration, including explaining leave options and requirements to employees.
- Collaborate with the Benefits Specialist to ensure accurate benefit payments for all leaves.
- Process disability insurance claims and ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
- Manage accommodation requests and ensure timely communication with employees and management.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate leave information to Payroll and management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience in personnel or finance.
- Minimum 3-5 years of leave administration experience, preferably with Ceridian Dayforce or UKG experience.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills, with a patient and empathetic approach to supporting employees with health issues.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and excellent communication skills.
- Self-starter with a detail-oriented and process-minded approach to work.
- A competitive salary of $30.00 per hour.
