Job Title: Patient Access Representative/Patient Access Representative Trainee

Job Summary:

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a full-time Patient Access Representative or Patient Access Representative Trainee to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective entry of patients into our cancer center, coordinating access-related activities, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate patient access activities, including data gathering, triage, and communication with referring physicians.
  • Schedule visits and pre-visit diagnostic tests, and admit patients to the hospital.
  • Provide insurance and financial clearance for new and return visits.
  • Collaborate with disease-site teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, and one year of experience in patient registration, scheduling, or insurance verification.
  • Successful completion of a Patient Access Representative traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Previous experience working in an ambulatory or outpatient setting.
  • Ability to update patient demographics and insurance information.
