About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Materials Engineering Technician to join our team at S&ME. As a key member of our project teams, you will play a vital role in ensuring construction projects adhere to industry standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of plans and specifications to guarantee alignment with blueprints.
  • Document field activities and observations accurately, providing valuable insights for project progression.
  • Utilize laboratory information management systems to submit detailed reports and testing results.
  • Maintain precision calibration of equipment to industry standards, ensuring reliability and accuracy of testing processes.
  • Conduct Special Inspection observations, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a culture of safety and quality assurance.
  • Maintain open communication with stakeholders, facilitating seamless collaboration and conveying complex information clearly.
Requirements
  • A High School diploma/GED
  • 5+ years experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials
  • Two or more active certification(s): American Concrete Institute (ACI), NICET, International Code Council (ICC), and DOT Certifications
