About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Materials Engineering Technician to join our team at S&ME. As a key member of our project team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that construction projects meet industry standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of plans and specifications to ensure compliance with industry codes and standards.
  • Perform special inspections and observations to guarantee the quality and integrity of infrastructure projects.
  • Document field activities and observations accurately and thoroughly, providing valuable insights for project progression.
  • Utilize laboratory information management systems to submit detailed reports and accurate testing results.
  • Maintain open communication with stakeholders, including management, contractors, and clients, to ensure seamless collaboration and project success.
Requirements
  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in construction testing and inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials.
  • Two or more active certifications, including American Concrete Institute (ACI), NICET, and International Code Council (ICC) certifications.
