Social Media Communications Coordinator

Role Overview

Team Objective: This team is dedicated to managing executive presence on social media platforms, with a particular emphasis on LinkedIn.

Key Contributions: This position will play a vital role in:


• Assisting various technical team members in crafting LinkedIn content.


• Engaging in a blend of video production, editing, copywriting, and understanding data metrics to gauge the success of each post.


• Adapting strategies as necessary and providing timely feedback on how executives represent our client on LinkedIn.


Typical Responsibilities Breakdown:


• Content Creation: 70%


• Strategic Planning: 20%


• Analytics and Reporting: 10%

Candidate Qualifications


Experience Required: 2-5 years of relevant experience in the field.


Ideal Candidate Profile: The preferred candidate would have:


• Experience managing social media accounts for smaller brands or collaborating with executives through an agency for content development.


• A portfolio showcasing their own content creation skills, particularly effective LinkedIn engagement.


• Performance will be evaluated based on adherence to deadlines.

Essential Skills Required:

1. 2-5 years of experience as a Social Media Manager or Content Creator.

2. Proficiency in editing photos and videos using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar software.

3. Comprehensive understanding of LinkedIn and the evolving social media landscape.

Core Responsibilities

Content Strategy:

  • Design, execute, and oversee our ongoing social media strategy.
  • Align social media platforms with our client's business objectives.
  • Participate actively in content reviews and approvals.

Content Development:

  • Establish a unique style, voice, and tone that aligns with our client's brand for each executive.
  • Generate weekly content suggestions for each executive, ensuring relevance to their target audiences.
  • Create and refine engaging multimedia content (text, images, videos) specifically for LinkedIn.
  • Video content will be a crucial aspect of this role; candidates should be adept at ideating, filming, producing, and editing.
  • Utilize existing content to highlight insights from subject matter experts.

Community Engagement:

  • Offer strategic follower insights, respond promptly to inquiries, and monitor industry trends.
  • Stay updated on current industry developments, competitors, and innovations to inform stakeholders.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
  • Deliver regular reports on social media performance, including actionable insights and recommendations for enhancement.

Required Skills:

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Social Media Manager or Content Creator.
  • Ability to edit multimedia content using software like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience in content creation as a writer or similar role.
  • Deep understanding of LinkedIn and the broader social media environment.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience in executing impactful organic and paid thought leadership campaigns.
  • Experience supporting senior executives.
  • Knowledge of SEO, web analytics, social media, and digital marketing.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Deliverables:

  • Create support materials for individual strategies and reporting.
  • Manage weekly content recommendations for all executives, including copy, links/images, and follower insights.
  • Post frequency (1 to 3 per week), follower recommendations (1-4 per week), and engagement suggestions (2-3 per week) will vary by executive.
  • Develop monthly reports and quarterly updates using our LinkedIn dashboard to ensure objectives are met and to adapt to changes in the business environment.
  • Engage in discussions or meetings to capture content ideas and opportunities.
  • Propose creative content series that align with campaign goals as needed.
  • Establish an operational framework for direct message responses as required.
