We are currently assisting a distinguished client located in a bustling urban area who is seeking an enthusiastic Culinary Operations Supervisor to enhance their team. This pivotal role involves managing the daily activities of the kitchen staff, which includes Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Dishwashers. The Culinary Operations Supervisor will work closely with the team to develop and refine menu offerings that reflect genuine flavors and culinary heritage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing food preparation and cooking procedures with precision.
  • Managing stock levels, ensuring ingredient availability, and creating accurate order lists based on sales patterns.
  • Coordinating and communicating work schedules for the kitchen personnel.
  • Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen and its equipment.
  • Leading the recruitment and training processes for kitchen staff to ensure effective onboarding.
  • Enhancing kitchen operations to maintain food quality and service efficiency.
  • Collaborating with the Head Chef to innovate and refresh the restaurant's menu.
  • Implementing and enforcing regular cleaning protocols in the kitchen, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
  • Working alongside the kitchen team and financial departments to identify and mitigate food waste.
Qualifications
  • Essential Requirements:
    • Previous experience in culinary environments.
    • Proven leadership in a kitchen setting.
    • ServeSafe certification.
    • Experience with Jewish cuisine or deli operations.
  • Desirable Qualifications:
    • Strong culinary expertise.
    • Knowledge of Jewish deli practices.
    • Leadership experience with teams.
    • Experience in menu development and supply chain management.
    • Understanding of kitchen sanitation and safety regulations.
    • Ability to resolve conflicts effectively.

Compensation: The starting salary for this role is $60,000, based on skills and experience.
