Position Summary:
The Human Resources Specialist is tasked with supporting various functions within the Human Resources department.

This role encompasses responsibilities in areas such as recruitment, HR information systems, employee benefits, and relations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

The position also involves organizational development and training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Maintain and manage employee databases. Prepare and analyze necessary reports to support departmental and organizational functions.

Collaborate with management to effectively communicate HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Conduct investigations into workplace complaints or concerns raised by employees.

Advise management on the company's progressive discipline process and provide counsel on employment-related issues.

Assist in monitoring employee compensation and promotional opportunities.


Process and verify personnel documentation, including background checks, new hire paperwork, E-Verify, and status changes.

Oversee benefits enrollment and manage requests for leaves of absence.

Safeguard the interests of both employees and the organization in accordance with established policies and applicable laws.


Manage the complete recruitment cycle; create job postings, advertise vacancies, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and perform reference checks. Communicate job offers to selected candidates and negotiate terms as necessary.

Maintain physical employee files and input personal data into the HR information system (HRIS).

Process various HR-related forms, including new hires, status changes, performance evaluations, benefits, and terminations.

Address day-to-day employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and compensation.

Support the HR Manager in identifying and resolving employee relations issues, enhancing morale, and improving organizational productivity.

Assist in organizing and implementing employee engagement initiatives.

Complete documentation for employment verifications, medical support, and unemployment claims.

Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and organizational policies.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Your skills and abilities (required qualifications)

Education:

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in human resources or industrial/organizational psychology, along with relevant experience, including at least two years working with an HRIS; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including employee relations and HRIS

Certifications:
PHR/SPHR preferred

Strong generalist experience

Skills:
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform statistical analysis

Prior experience with HRIS, including applicant tracking systems.

Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Knowledge of recruitment, human resources, and organizational development practices

Ability to independently evaluate and recruit candidates with sound judgment.

Familiarity with administrative procedures and systems.

Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Positive attitude, high energy, enthusiasm, and attention to detail

Travel:
up to 20%
