Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As an Environmental Services Associate in Housekeeping, you will have the opportunity to positively influence many lives through your kind demeanor and friendly service. You will be part of a cohesive, compassionate team where every member plays a crucial role. In this position:

  • You will be responsible for maintaining assigned patient rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, offices, stairways, elevators, and other spaces by delivering housekeeping services.
  • You will ensure optimal sanitation and cleanliness throughout the facility.
  • You will apply effective cleaning techniques using various cleaning tools and equipment.
  • You will adhere to all established personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols when handling cleaning chemicals, including wearing gloves, masks, and aprons.
  • You will utilize appropriate safety and protective gear when managing hazardous waste and chemicals.
  • You will follow a daily cleaning schedule tailored to the needs of different areas.
  • You will complete special assignments as directed by the department Director or Supervisor.
  • You will actively participate in staff meetings and engage in performance improvement initiatives.
  • You will ensure that customer service expectations are met, providing courteous and compassionate service to all.
  • Passing a pre-employment background check and drug screening is required.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or custodial work is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with cleaning supplies and tools is advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading, writing, and comprehension.
