Job Overview:
CNO Financial Group is seeking a dedicated Account Management Associate to nurture and manage relationships within a diverse portfolio of small market clients. This role serves as the primary point of contact for key decision-makers and brokers, ensuring that clients achieve success with their Optavise solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Account Management Associate, your duties will encompass:
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, understanding their objectives, and aligning delivery resources accordingly.
  • Identifying and pursuing new upsell and cross-sell opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and drive revenue growth.
  • Facilitating effective communication initiatives to boost client engagement and utilization of services.
  • Monitoring client objectives and ensuring they are met through proactive engagement and reporting.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to keep them informed of client developments that require their attention.

Client Retention Strategies:
Implement strategies to minimize client attrition by swiftly addressing risks and engaging sales and leadership for effective resolution. Lead negotiations for contract renewals, typically ranging from $5k to $50k, while maintaining a revenue base that aligns with company goals.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The Account Management Associate role is ideal for individuals who:
  • Have a proven track record in selling to and servicing small to mid-market employers.
  • Exhibit critical thinking skills to support sound, business-focused decision-making.
  • Can manage multiple clients and projects concurrently while staying organized.
  • Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and can confidently present to large groups.
  • Are adaptable and quick learners, especially with internal systems.
  • Are willing to travel as required.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or 4 years of relevant experience in employee benefits account management.
  • At least 2 years of experience in client services or account management within the employee benefits or HR sector.
  • A minimum of 1 year managing multiple projects or clients simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or 8 years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in client services/account management in the employee benefits/HR domain, with a preference for benefits technology experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing multiple projects or clients.
  • 1+ years of experience with revenue responsibility.
