Position Overview:

The Practice Assistant II plays a vital role in the patient experience, acting as the initial point of contact for appointments and ensuring smooth operations within the radiology department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service Excellence:

    • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
    • Handle phone reception duties and verify insurance eligibility.
  • Financial Transactions:
    Collect copayments and outstanding balances from patients.
  • Appointment Management:
    Schedule follow-up appointments and secure necessary authorizations and referrals for specialty care.
  • Daily Operations:
    Reconcile daily batches and assist with global processing tasks.
    • Answer phone inquiries and direct calls appropriately.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work effectively with colleagues to achieve shared objectives.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing knowledge and assisting others.

Effective Communication:

  • Provide clear and concise information both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications:
