Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Coordinator to join our team at the University of Nebraska. The successful candidate will provide advanced administrative support to the department head, coordinate complex scheduling and meetings, and oversee the submission of annual faculty evaluations and promotion and tenure files.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the department head, including coordinating complex scheduling and meetings
  • Oversee the submission of annual faculty evaluations and promotion and tenure files
  • Coordinate interview schedules and travel arrangements for academic and staff position search candidates
  • Compile information and respond to reporting requests from all levels of the university
  • Supervise office support staff and coordinate staff support during transitions or absences
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Two years of experience providing administrative support, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent knowledge of computer software, including word processing, spreadsheet, and email with calendar functions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience providing administrative support directly to a unit head
  • Experience handling foreign travel arrangements and expense reports for others
