Residential Personal Care Assistant Role

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? As a Residential Personal Care Assistant, you will have the opportunity to provide vital support and assistance to an elderly or disabled individual in their home.

Key Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in personal care or similar roles
  • Empathetic and nurturing personality
  • Strong ability to connect with clients
  • Proficient in both written and spoken communication

This position includes a private bedroom and access to essential amenities such as a private half bath, shared 3/4 bath, laundry facilities, kitchen, and internet. Basic meal provisions are supplied weekly with minimal preparation needed. The role entails a full-time schedule with two days off each week, along with additional hours available when family visits occur. The family is accessible around the clock, although they do not reside on the premises.

The client requires comprehensive assistance due to complete paralysis on one side resulting from a stroke. Your duties will encompass mobility support, toileting, bathing, and dressing. Once positioned, the client is capable of self-feeding, dental hygiene, and engaging in conversation with limited assistance.
