Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Motion Recruitment. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to users, configuring and maintaining desktop software and hardware, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, install, and maintain desktop software and hardware
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users
  • Monitor and update dispatch systems and work incoming tickets as assigned
  • Develop and maintain end-user guidelines and documentation
  • Ensure proper backing up of data from user workstations and compliance with security configurations
  • Perform administrative tasks such as reporting and ordering replacement parts
Requirements
  • Ability to provide consultation to IT users on end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems software
  • Ability to provide on-the-spot training to users and understand operating systems imaging concepts
  • Able to make recommendations on selection of hardware and software products to address business requirements
  • Preferred skills: ability to assist in the support and maintenance of the overall infrastructure
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced, multi-platformed environment that requires action and response 24/7 to support the technical business needs of our customers. Routine transporting of items up to 30 lbs. Transporting items up to 70lbs on occasion.
