Physiatrist (PM&R) - Academic Medicine Opportunity

UMPhysicians is seeking a dynamic and energetic Physiatrist (PM&R) to join our academic medicine department. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the growth and development of our physiatry program.
Responsibilities- Provide outpatient General Physiatry care within the M Health Fairview system, serving patients with a range of conditions, including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputee, multiple sclerosis, musculoskeletal injuries, and complex neurological conditions.
- Work with the PM&R Medical Director/Division Director and leadership to build strong relationships with referring departments and units to maintain and strengthen the program.
- Participate in call coverage at the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (IRF) on a rotating basis and provide cross-coverage of inpatient services for absences, as needed.
- Collaborate with APPs and trainees in inpatient and outpatient settings, including medical students, residents, fellows, visiting students, and other allied health professionals.
- Close all patient encounters before eight (8) calendar days.

Requirements- Graduate of an accredited PM&R residency training program.
- Board-certified or board-eligible with the American Board of PM&R (ABPM&R).
- Eligible to obtain a Minnesota Board of Medical Practice license.
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
- Experience collaborating with individuals across multiple departments, practices, and health systems.
- Experience with botulinum toxins injections to treat spasticity, dystonia, and migraines/headaches.
