Job Summary

Chipotle is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Restaurant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our restaurant leadership, you will be responsible for leading the restaurant team in successful day-to-day operations, acting as General Manager when needed, and developing the restaurant team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the restaurant team in successful day-to-day operations, setting the tone for a positive and productive work environment.
  • Act as General Manager when the General Manager is not present, ensuring seamless operations and making key decisions as needed.
  • Develop and train the restaurant team, focusing on Kitchen and Service Managers, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Ensure that employees are paid properly, receive appropriate benefits, and are prepared for additional career opportunities.
  • Identify and hire top talent, participating in personnel decisions regarding the restaurant team, including transfers and terminations.
  • Write schedules that meet the needs of the business, ensuring a great customer experience while maintaining financial responsibility.
  • Assist the General Manager in performing administrative duties, including payroll, inventory, food ordering, and cash handling.
  • Communicate company changes and focus to the team, ensuring everyone is aligned and working towards common goals.
  • Build sales and manage the restaurant budget, maintaining a clean restaurant with excellent quality food and customer service.
  • Maintain cleaning and sanitation standards within the restaurant, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for employees and customers.
  • Assist with local store marketing opportunities, promoting the Chipotle brand and driving sales.
  • Emphasize and adhere to safety and security standards, training employees in appropriate responses to unsafe situations.

Requirements

  • Develop positive working relationships with all restaurant personnel.
  • Speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and employees.
  • Have the ability to speak, write, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
  • Be able to adapt and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have previous supervisory experience in the restaurant industry.
  • Possess exceptional customer service skills.
  • Be able to lead and develop people.
  • Have experience as a Chipotle Service Manager.
  • Have an A.A. or a B.A./B.S in a related field or an equivalent in education and experience.
  • Have knowledge of and the ability to use a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
