Job Summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Restaurant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our restaurant operations, you will be responsible for leading the team in successful day-to-day operations, training and developing staff, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the restaurant team in successful day-to-day operations, setting a positive example and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Act as General Manager when the General Manager is not present, ensuring seamless operations and decision-making.
  • Train and develop the restaurant team, particularly Kitchen and Service Managers, to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure employees are paid properly, receive benefits, and are prepared for career advancement opportunities.
  • Identify and hire talented crew members, participating in personnel decisions, including transfers and terminations.
  • Write schedules that meet business needs, delivering a great customer experience while maintaining financial responsibility.
  • Assist the General Manager with administrative duties, including payroll, inventory, food ordering, and cash handling.
  • Communicate company changes and focus to the team, ensuring a unified approach.
  • Build sales and manage the restaurant budget, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Ensure safety and security standards are emphasized and adhered to, with employees trained in response to unsafe situations.
Requirements
  • Develop positive working relationships with all restaurant personnel.
  • Communicate clearly and listen attentively to guests and employees.
  • Ability to speak, write, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
  • Adapt and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience in the restaurant industry.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Leadership and development skills.
  • Experience as a Chipotle Service Manager.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
