LifeBridge Health is seeking a skilled cytologist to join our team at Carroll Hospital. As a cytologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality services in accordance with our mission statement and SPIRIT values.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and screen cytologic specimens, assisting on fine needle procedures and interpreting findings under the direction of a pathologist.
- Follow laboratory policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory agency requirements, including CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, and CLIA.
- Determine that test results meet quality control program requirements and repeat tests as necessary to ensure accurate reporting.
- Maintain all necessary records and documentation, utilizing critical thinking skills and complex problem-solving to resolve clinical and instrument issues.
- Required: Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science, cytology, or a chemical science, or equivalent experience and licensure.
- 2-4 years of experience in cytology or a related field.
- Cytologist - Board Registered or specialist in Cytology by a recognized credentialing board.
- Eligible to become Registered.
- LC - Licensed Cytologist.
