Job Summary:

As a cytotechnologist at LifeBridge Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all services are delivered in accordance with the mission statement and SPIRIT values of our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and screen all cytologic specimens, assist on fine needle procedures, and interpret findings under the direction of a pathologist. You will also be responsible for following laboratory policies and procedures in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements, including CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, and CLIA. Additionally, you will determine that test results meet the requirements of our quality control program and repeat tests as necessary to ensure accurate results. You will also be responsible for maintaining all necessary records and documentation.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and screen all cytologic specimens

Assist on fine needle procedures

Interpret findings under the direction of a pathologist

Follow laboratory policies and procedures in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements

Determine that test results meet the requirements of our quality control program

Repeat tests as necessary to ensure accurate results

Maintain all necessary records and documentation

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science, cytology, or a related field

2-4 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting

Cytologist - Board Registered or specialist in Cytology by recognized credentialing board

Eligible to become Registered

LC - Licensed Cytologist
