We are seeking an exceptional Restaurant Operations Leader to join our team at Del Taco, LLC. As a key member of our management team, you will play a critical role in protecting and delivering the Del Taco Brand while driving sales growth and maximizing profitability.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will lead the Del Taco Way by executing our standards and processes 100% of the time. This includes maintaining the facility and customer areas, ensuring all equipment meets operational and safety standards, and delivering only quality products to meet Del Taco standards every time.

Responsibilities

  1. Leadership and Team Development
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in recruiting, hiring, and retaining all restaurant employees in compliance with the employee position report.
  • Ensure the entire team is certified according to the current training process at all times.
  • Foster an environment of continuous learning and create a service-oriented culture.
Deliver the Brand
  • Execute Del Taco Standards and use our processes and systems 100% of the time.
  • Maintain the facility and customer areas.
  • Maintain all equipment to operational and safety standards.
  • Deliver only quality products to Del Taco standards every time.
Sales Growth and Profitability
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in identifying and communicating sales goals (daily, weekly, year over year).
  • Ensure the right people are in the right places according to projected/actual sales.
  • Increase customer count and check average, and maximize capacity and customer value.
Profitability and Cost Management
  • Maintain staffing levels to actual sales.
  • Comply with labor laws.
  • Accurately order and manage inventory to reduce waste and prevent theft.
  • Ensure cash handling procedures and standards are in place and followed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or management role in the restaurant industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong understanding of restaurant operations and management principles.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
