Job Overview

As a vital member of our team at PCE, Inc., the Manufacturing Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of production processes. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.


POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for executing production tasks, utilizing machinery and equipment to meet established benchmarks for quality and output. The goal is to deliver superior products promptly, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate machinery and production tools effectively, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Assess part precision using a range of measuring instruments and gauges.
  • Complete necessary documentation during the production process.
  • Conduct quality inspections on components throughout the assigned workflow.
  • Mentor new team members in equipment operation and interpretation of technical documents.
  • Interpret work orders and engineering specifications to assemble and align components accurately.
  • Rotate through various roles within the department as required.
  • Participate in training sessions as mandated.
  • Comply with quality assurance and safety regulations to uphold workplace standards.
  • Engage in special projects as designated by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Adequate vision, with or without correction, to ensure quality output.
  • Capability to perform repetitive motions with hands and wrists.
  • Ability to maintain prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Capacity to lift up to 55 lbs occasionally.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding basic work instructions and technical drawings.
  • Competence in performing basic mathematical calculations, including conversions and operations.
  • Familiarity with using a calculator.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of relevant production experience or training is preferred.
