A Production Technician at Cyclonaire Corp. sets up and operates machinery such as welding, machining, drill presses, punch presses, cutting, bending rolls, brakes, grinders, and various equipment to shape and alter metal according to specifications to build quality components for a variety of Cyclonaire products.
As a Production Technician, your duties include performing simple repairs and providing daily preventative maintenance on equipment, performing routine inspections of tools and equipment, and training others on how to operate the machines.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Fabricate metal items according to technical drawings
- Troubleshoot issues with drawings or equipment
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines
- Follow all existing company policies and procedures
- High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
- Fabrication and/or welding experience is preferred
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to obtain a forklift license through the company's training and certification program
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload while meeting critical timelines with high expectations from internal and external customers
