Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you will be instrumental in aligning security initiatives with Global Relay's business objectives. You will lead a diverse, global team of security professionals, ensuring that our security program scales with the anticipated growth of Global Relay.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the CISO to provide strategic direction for the overall security program.
  • Promote a security-focused culture throughout Global Relay, ensuring alignment with IT, product development, and engineering teams.

  • Design and implement strategic security programs that align with company objectives and safeguard Global Relay's information assets.
  • Oversee a growing team, mentoring and guiding the Cybersecurity team to foster career development.
  • Deliver regular updates to senior stakeholders regarding Global Relay's cybersecurity posture, identified risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Provide leadership and project management support to staff in achieving key security goals and objectives.
  • Act as the primary contact for various security audits and customer assessments.
  • Drive ISO 27001 practices within Global Relay's Information Security Management System (ISMS) and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with security industry standards through successful audit outcomes.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations of security measures, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend risk reduction strategies.
  • Perform risk assessments related to software and service acquisitions as part of the procurement process.
  • Oversee incident response planning and investigations related to non-compliance issues.
  • Develop and implement an Information Security Awareness program for all employees.
  • Engage in additional analyses and InfoSec project work as needed.
About You:
  • Over 10 years of experience in technology, with at least 5 years in operational security.
  • 5+ years of experience managing technical teams.
  • Experience managing an Information Security Management System (ISMS) in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams using effective communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Demonstrated success in implementing and managing ISO 27001 certifications and SOC 2 reports.
  • Familiarity with information security technologies, including security tools and vulnerability management.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Compensation: Global Relay offers a competitive salary range for this position, along with a corporate bonus, comprehensive health benefits, and 401k contributions.
