About the Role

In this role, you will report to the local Operations Manager and provide timely, accurate, and courteous assistance to the commercial service team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, have a background in insurance, and excel in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily electronic correspondence and log entries in the agency management system.
  • Monitor the agency management system for misdirected communications and activities.
  • Issue Proofs of Insurance in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist Account Managers with requests for renewal information, processing applications, policies, endorsements, binders, certificates, loss runs, audit requests, and other client servicing tasks.
  • Request routine policy modifications as directed by the Account Manager.
  • Report claims to the insurance carrier.
  • Support Producers by preparing presentations and proposals.
  • Perform data entry in the agency management system.
  • Process policies by retrieving them from websites, ensuring accuracy against proposals and agency management records, and making necessary corrections per agency guidelines.
  • Review daily activity follow-up lists and take appropriate actions.
  • Establish and maintain high levels of trust and confidence with the Account Service team by promptly addressing service requests and issues.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Prioritize and manage your workflow to ensure efficient and accurate processing of responsibilities.
  • Maintain positive and effective relationships with clients, colleagues, carriers, wholesalers, vendors, and other business contacts.
  • Keep documentation, workflow logs, and proposals up to date.
  • Communicate effectively and provide guidance to achieve the company's business objectives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new products, coverages, and technology to enhance knowledge and performance.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey clear and accurate information in both written and verbal formats.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks based on deadlines and urgency.
  • Flexibility to assist team members in various capacities related to client services.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Applied Systems Epic CRM is preferred.
  • Attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Education and Experience
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an insurance agency or wholesale brokerage is required.
  • A Property & Casualty Agent License is required.
