The Software Configuration Specialist is responsible for the setup, upkeep, and assistance of software solutions within the organization’s systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Apply CarMax software configuration practices for new features and improvements
- Comprehend CarMax Auto Finance operational workflows and address support challenges promptly
- Oversee and maintain team applications, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards
- Deliver system support as required, effectively diagnosing and resolving issues
Purpose of the Role:
The Software Configuration Specialist will execute technical configurations in the organization’s systems related to Auto Finance functions. This role necessitates familiarity with configuration methodologies, design frameworks, and database management.
Required Qualifications:
- A four-year degree in an IT-related field is preferred, along with 1-2 years of experience in application configuration
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server scripting, ARGO, ALFA, and CEDAR principles
- Experience in database architecture, security compliance, and testing procedures
- Familiarity with the PeopleSoft Toolset is advantageous
