We are seeking a seasoned and capable Software Engineer in Test to contribute to the development and validation of essential system applications and experiences on macOS and iOS.

Your role will involve automating both new and existing features as we strive to provide delightful experiences for our users.

Job Responsibilities:

In this position, you will become a vital member of the System Applications automation team.

We are responsible for designing and implementing automated testing and automation frameworks for key functionalities on iOS, macOS, and visionOS, including Contacts, Spotlight, iOS Settings, macOS System Settings, Files, and more.

Your responsibilities will include taking charge of a significant area of the platform and overseeing all facets of automated testing for that component, from UI tests to unit tests, across various device configurations and locales.

You will collaborate with your colleagues and contribute to shared automation frameworks while working cross-functionally with other teams at Apple to enhance automated testability for your component.

Throughout this journey, you will gain insights into the development processes at Apple, becoming a key contributor to delivering software releases that meet our customers' high standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer in Test within the industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose test and product issues, propose solutions, and assist in prioritization.
  • A passion for creating outstanding future experiences for our users.
  • A meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Solid programming fundamentals, preferably with experience in Swift/Objective-C.
  • Strong familiarity with Xcode and debugging tools.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of iOS and macOS.
Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a range.

The base salary range for this position is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your actual base salary will be influenced by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Additionally, employees may be eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
