We seek a proficient and dynamic Software Engineer in Test to assist in constructing and validating the future of essential system applications and experiences on macOS and iOS.

Your role will involve automating both our latest innovative features and legacy functionalities as we strive to deliver exceptional experiences for our customers.

Role Responsibilities:

In this capacity, you will become a member of the System Applications automation team.

We design and implement automated testing and automation frameworks for critical experiences on iOS, macOS, and visionOS, including Contacts, Spotlight, iOS Settings, macOS System Settings, Files, and more.

You will take ownership of a significant area of the platform, overseeing all facets of automated testing for this component, from UI tests to unit tests, across various device configurations and locales.

Collaboration with your colleagues will be essential as you contribute to shared automation frameworks, and you will engage cross-functionally with other teams at Apple to enhance automated testability for your component.

Throughout this journey, you will gain insights into the development processes utilized at Apple for our operating systems and emerge as a pivotal leader in delivering our software releases with the quality our customers anticipate.

Essential Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience as a Software Engineer in Test in the industry.
  • Strong analytical skills - ability to assess test and product issues, propose solutions, and assist with prioritization.
  • A passion for contributing to the creation of outstanding future experiences for our users.
  • A meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Solid programming fundamentals, with experience ideally in Swift/Objective-C.
  • Strong familiarity with Xcode and debugging tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of iOS and macOS.
Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base salary is one component of our comprehensive compensation package and is determined within a specified range.

This structure allows for growth as you advance within your role.

The base salary range for this position is between $135,400 and $250,600, with your salary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Additionally, employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
